Discover the Belgian coast
Is it a day without beach weather or do you just feel like going out from Kustpark Strand Westende? You can, because there is plenty to do and see in the vicinity of the campsite.
Besides the dunes, the beach and the sea, which are less than a kilometre from the campsite, there is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. A visit to the amusement park Plopsaland de Panne and the swimming paradise Plopsaqua is something our guests like to do. A day trip to the historic city of Bruges, some 40 kilometres from the campsite, is also a must. However, the closer towns of Ostend, Diksmuide and Nieuwpoort are also well worth a day trip.
There are various historical & tourist attractions in the vicinity. These include Raversyde Atlantikwall, Fort Napoleon, Westfront in Nieuwpoort and the Dodengang.
Towns and villages
Visit authentic Bruges or stroll along the promenade in Westende. Ostend and Nieuwpoort with its port are also bustling seaside resorts.
Walking and cycling
In the area surrounding Kustpark Strand Westende, you can make beautiful cycling trips along the coast or through the polders. You can also easily walk from the campsite.
Indoor activities
The sun does not always shine by the sea either. But some rainy days can also provide relaxation. From indoor swimming pool, indoor playground to a museum or brewery.
Holidays with the dog
A maximum of 2 pets are allowed in our accommodation. So come on holiday with your four-legged friend on the Belgian coast. Check out when and where you can go to the beach.
Restaurants by the sea
In the nearby seaside resorts, such as Ostend and Westende-Middelkerke, you have a wide choice of restaurants. Here you can enjoy dinner or lunch in a restaurant on the Belgian coast. Complete your meal with one of the delicious Belgian beers or get advice on a good bottle of wine.
Cosy terraces by the sea
Near Kustpark Strand Westende, you can take a lovely stroll along the boulevard. You can stroll along the kilometres-long promenade of Westende-Middelkerke and relax on one of the terraces. Here you will also find nice shops and delicious ice cream parlours. Take a nice walk on the beach and experience the sunset!
